Of the more than 500 occupational categories for whicb sufficient data are provided bythe , only five occupationd pay women the same or more than men. Men earn more mone than women in jobs that are most commonamonfg women, including administrative assistant (women earn 83.4 centsx for a man’s dollar), elementary and middle school teachers (women earn 87.6 centw for a man’s dollar) and registered nursews (women earn 87.4 cent s for a man’s dollar). The analysis showsa the most common jobs for men pays more than the most commonh jobsfor women. The highesyt paying of the 10 most commomn jobsfor women, registered nurses, pays $1,011 in medianb weekly earnings.
